How it Works

Boys & Girls Club of Wooster is open everyday after school at Edgewood from 2:45 pm - 7:00 pm and at the High School from 2:45 - 6:00 pm. Please check our before school program tab for more information on before school care.

For the 2019-2020 school year, the Edgewood location will be open to all 5th, 6th, & 7th grade students. 8th grade and up will be served at Wooster High School!

Please see below for the after school fee levels.

            Standard Rate - $3.00/day      OR                $40.00/month (must be pre-paid)

Those who qualify for free or reduced lunch are eligible for a waived fee, but must fill out the scholarship form.

 Daily Fees Before School:

The morning program is a daily rate of $2.50. If you qualify for reduced lunch, your rate is $2.00. If you qualify for free lunch, your rate is $1.00. Please see our morning program tab for more information.

For Edgewood students: sign-out and/or pick up is located at the Boys & Girls Club front desk. Enter the building under the blue arch with our hand-clasp logo.
Edgewood Club members come directly to the Club lobby (attached to the Edgewood library) after school at 2:45 p.m. or 3:35 p.m.

For Teen Center (high school) students: sign-in/out is located in the WHS libray. All Teen Center members are able to sign themselves out at any point during Club hours. Once a Club member is signed out, they may not return. Teen members should come to Club immediately after school unless attending a pre-approved activity.

Students will receive homework help, dinners and a snack, as well as participate in other fun activities. Our goal is to provide them with a fun and safe out-of-school environment.

Kids DO NOT have to attend the full 4 hours. The Boys & Girls Club of Wooster has an open door policy, letting kids sign-in at any time, however, once a child signs-out, they will not be allowed re-entry unless returning from a pre-approved activity.

A Wooster City Schools bus drops off Monday through Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Elementary, Wayne County Public Library, Community Action (Corner of Pittsburgh & Palmer), Nold/Gasche, Melrose Elementary, Intersection of Cleveland Ave. & Smithville Western, Mindy/Oakhill, and Parkview Elementary. Bus times are approximate, and bus stops may be skipped if there are no riders for that particular stop.
